Adding Spyder (Python IDE) Icon to The Windows Start Menu

If you install spyder (or spyder3) with PIP (not Anaconda) you may have  problem to lunch it from start menu.

There is a simple way to do that.

Right-click on the Spyder where is on

C:\Python37\Scripts

where Python37  is the location where you installed you python.

Then select “pin to start” from menu.

 

Now there remain only one things to do.

right click on the spyder icon on the start menu, and select

more->open file location

Right click on the spyder shortcut and choose

Property ->change Icon tab

Now you can choose a custom icon (I made it for you, dowload it here).

Also you can create a custome shortcut to lunch it.
